The Current State of Affairs

Due to COVID-19, GameKnight has had to adapt to new retail realities and in response, we’ve made a number of changes to the way we operate. We’re still here, and you can still buy product from us, but the way in which you do so has changed significantly. Read on to learn how!

Physical Store

First and foremost, GameKnight has closed its doors to the public as per the Public Health Order the province issues at the end of March. This order was originally scheduled from April 1st to 14th, but has now (as of the writing of this post) been extended to April 28th. There is a distinct possibility it will be extended further. GameKnight will reopen to the public once the province states it is safe to do so. Until then, non-staff are not allowed within the building. This also means that until we reopen, all in-store organized play events are fully suspended.

Curb-Side Purchases

Despite the store being physically closed to the public, we are still able to sell product to our customers through the use of curb-side payments and pickups. This works quite simply: let us know what product you want, whether Facebook, email or phone call, and we’ll set things aside for you. This is basically the same way we did things before the closure, with one distinct difference.

Once your order is ready, you can come down to the store during our store pickup hours (see below) and, once outside, give us a call. We’ll come out to you with our mobile debit/credit terminal for payment, and bring your product straight to you. It couldn’t be easier!

Online Store

In order to better serve our wonderful community, we’ve launched an online store for the first time in GameKnight’s history. This online store can be found here. We created and launched this online service in just two days, so while it is fully functional and customers have been successfully placing orders for weeks now, it is still a work in progress — pictures and item descriptions will be fleshed out in the months to come, and some of our inventory is not yet uploaded. If you need something you don’t see, let us know!

Online Store orders have three options for shipping:

  • Local Pick-Up: Once your order is ready, you can pick it up from the store between noon and 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Give us a call when you arrive, and we’ll bring it out to you.
  • Local Delivery: For a $5.00 delivery fee, we’ll deliver your product straight to your door. Deliveries usually get out the same day or next day.
  • Shipping: We’ll ship via Canada Post anywhere in Canada.

For online orders, you’ll receive two separate email notifications. The first will confirm your order has been placed successfully. This does NOT mean it’s ready for pick-up. Please await the second email that confirms the order has been packed up and is ready to go before coming down to the store. Please have your order number handy for faster pick-up as well.
