Warmachine and Hordes

Warmachine –steam-powered miniatures combat– is a table-top miniatures game published by Privateer Press. Players take on the role of an elite soldier-sorcerer known as a warcaster. While a warcaster and his army is a formidable force on the battlefield, a warcaster’s true strength is in their ability to magically control and coordinate the actions of their mighty warjacks steam-powered combat automatons that represent the pinnacle of military might in the Iron Kingdoms.

Hordes can be viewed as either an expansion to Warmachine, or a totally separate game using the same system. Either way, it contains new factions and is based on the same system. It is 100% compatible with Warmachine. Rather than the steampunk theme of Warmachine, Hordes focuses on the more primitive tribal powers: Trollblood, Skorne, Legion of Everblight, Circle Orboros,, Grymkin, Farrow (pig-men) and Gatormen. They wage war with great warbeasts in place of warjacks and, instead of warcasters, have warlocks that draw power from their beasts.

Our Warmahordes play happens Tuesday evenings starting between 6:00 and 6:30 PM, and Sundays starting at 1:00 pm. If you’re an experienced player, come down for some friendly games! If you’ve never played before but want to learn, our players are a welcoming bunch who will be happy to show you the ropes. Steamroller Scrum Tournament – August 1st, 2019

Host and Judge: Massimo Petrelli
Entry fee: $10.00 (paid during or before the first week of August)
Launch Date: August 1st, 2019
Duration: 3-4 weeks
Format: 35 points Scrum

On Thursday, August 1st, 2019, a Warmachine and Hordes Scrum Tournament will be starting! A Scrum is where we have players play a regular Steamroller but each round is one week. and you have a week in which to get your match completed. You can do it either at the store or at home or anywhere. When your round is over you record the results and then send them to the judge so he can organize the next week’s pairings.

The tournament will use the 2019 Steamroller Packet at 35 points and 2 lists. The judge will post the scenario with the round pairings each week. The Death Clock rules will be used, so rounds will be timed. The Death clock is 40 minutes for each player. If you don’t have a clock, the judge can assist.

We will be using Conflict chamber for list submission. Please use the following link: https://conflictchamber.com/?event=906

There will be no Divide and Conquer, therefore you can play the same army through the whole event. Armies do not need to be painted. CID Models will not be allowed.

Rounds will be based on how many players attend.

Prizing will be in-store credit at GameKnight split among the top contenders.

Game on!
