They get their colouring and designs from various additives, such as mica powder, acrylic paint, alcohol ink, and resin specific glitter. The dice are cast in silicone molds and spend the first 24 hours of their 72 hour curing time inside a pressure pot to compress any bubbles left in the resin to ensure a clear finish. There are mold artifacts left on the resin once they are pulled out and these are removed by sanding the dice through 8 different grits of sandpaper. The numbers are painted in and excess paint is removed from the surface of the dice by rubbing them with isopropyl alcohol.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eCare and handling:\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe dice I make are sharp-edged, and they live up to their name. Do not roll them on a wooden table as the corners will make small indentations, same with using them in wooden tumblers. Ideally, they are to be rolled on a mat or cloth surface as this will protect both the dice and the rolling platform. If rolled on a rough surface, the dice can scuff and take away from the glass-like finish they have. Leaving the dice in the sun can lead to discolouration. Resin is usually very hard and resistant to deformation. However, depending on what additives are in the dice, they can be softer and you can press into them with your nails or bend the corners of some dice (in particular the D4). This is okay, the elastic memory will return the dice to the original form in a few seconds.
