A strange figure approaches you as your warband makes camp.
“My lord, I bring interesting news to you at this late hour. A new realmgate has opened in your area leading to lands yet previously unclaimed. Beyond the gate lies a new realm ripe for you and your forces to take control of before anyone else. But, be wary my lord, others also have access to these new lands and your forces alone may not be enough, it is wise to look for alliances before setting off for these lands…”
As mysteriously as they arrived the stranger vanishes, leaving you with a choice. Do you go alone into this new realm and claim all the glory for yourself or do you gather a few allies and set off together to have an advantage over the others?.
Initial scouting reports into this new realm have proven fruitful, there are large sources of what scouts are calling Uru metal. This metal is harder than anything else we have access to and could potentially give us a great advantage over our enemies. They are also reporting in still large but more sparse deposits of Mage’s Opal. This new gemstone comes in a rainbow of colours and has shown its ability to enhance the spell casting of many wizards.
Welcome generals to GameKnight Games’ new Path to Glory (PtG)! This story will take us from all 8 of the known realms and into a new, untamed wild realm! Here champions will be made, strongholds built, and legacies cemented! Will you, and maybe your allies, be strong enough to claim these new lands and their secrets as your own?
The goal for this path to glory is first and foremost player enjoyment and fun. As the “game master” for this story, I can genuinely say nothing is more important to me than that. So if you have ideas or comments I am always open to them and always wanting to include ideas from you all!
The idea for this path to glory to have it stand out from others will be combining the hero creation aspects of 4th edition with the base building of 3rd edition. This will hopefully let you really feel like your general is making a name for themselves and they are creating their own territory in this realm.
The other unique aspect will be this new realm itself and how it interacts with the realms we know and love. I won't reveal too many secrets off the start but each battle will be influenced by the realms that be, and will add some new rules and wrinkles to game plans.
At the start of this PtG players can be in teams of up to 3. I highly encourage you to make teams before registering but if you’d prefer I can also make teams. For team creation don’t worry about being from the same realm or even the same Grand Alliance, I won't only ask that you have similar goals as to why you are coming to this realm.
To start the PtG we will be using the Vanguard size from 3rd edition, so the following tables will show everything you can take to start.

Ally unit rules will be the same as in 3rd edition. they cannot exceed 1 of every 4 units in your army, and your general cannot be one of your allied units. Please see your armies 3rd edition rules for which armies they can ally units in from

Team Coordinator- This is just the point person to organize any larger scale stuff and to make sure if I need an army list or something for a specific battle I only get one copy and don’t get confused.
After getting this information from people I will be working on converting the rules for each of the armies players are working on, this is just to save me time by not converting armies people aren’t playing. I will be talking with the players of those armies to make sure the rules look balanced and fun.
