Trade Wars suck.
Many of our trading card games will be affected by the Canada-US tariffs, including the upcoming Magic set, Tarkir Dragonstorm.
Products and Pre-Purchases
Basically everything from this new set has gone up in price, except for Collector Booster Boxes. We've adjusted our pre-purchase pricing accordingly. Our pre-purchase policy remains in place, so anyone that pre-purchased BEFORE we increased pricing will have their purchases honoured at original prices. If by chance the tariffs end up NOT affecting the final pricing and we're able to lower prices again, any pre-purchases made at the HIGHER price will be compensated.
Prereleases
We're holding prerelease events for Tarkir Dragonstorm from April 4th to 6th, and have had tickets available for some time now. Many players have already bought their ticket at the original price of $45. With new tariffs affecting the cost we pay for prerelease kits, that price should now realistically be $55, $60 or even $65. HOWEVER, we've decided that for this set's prerelease, we're going to take the hit and just leave it at $45. This is basically at or even slightly below our cost, but with the chaos of the trade war, we're just going to suck it up. Once.
Next prerelease season, sadly, will be fully affected by tariffs (assuming they don't wiffle-waffle again... who knows?).
Thank you all for your understanding. We'll get through this. Canada will get through this.
