Message from Shas'O Brightlance, leader of the Silver Wing expedition to the Golanthus Reach, to Shas'O Fallen Blade, Supreme Commander of the Silver Wing cadre.
Greetings, Shas'O
By the time you receive this missive our efforts in the Golanthus Reach will have concluded. The mission was only partially successful, however. While the Psi-Shoal was deployed and activated, I am afraid that Fio'El Jiar was lost in the final conflict, along with the data he carried on how to replicate the device.
While the loss of this knowledge is disappointing, his sacrifice was not without merit. So long as the Shoal continues to function, this region of space will be free from the predations of the Devourer.
My forces will remain here to aide in the reconstruction of the infrastructure destroyed in the fighting. We will rejoin the main fleet as soon as we can.

The battle for the Golanthus Reach has concluded! Thank you to everyone who participated in our first public Crusade!
In the final battle, the Tau and their mind controlled Tyranids were able to hold out long enough to activate the device they had been working on and testing throughout the crusade, the Psy-Shoal, originally dubbed the Psy-Lure. This device emits a psychic signal to the hive mind, urging Tyranid fleets to seek elsewhere for prey, that the worlds within its bubble of influence have already been stripped bare. The Tau were unable to maintain control of the data to replicate it, however, so no more of these devices will be created in the future.
Now the various armies rest, recuperate, and away the next call to battle. We'll be taking a break for a few months while we work on the story for the next Crusade, as well as some mechanics stuff. A feedback form was posted to our Discord for those who participated, and we'll do our best to take notes from that for next time.
For now, though, we've got a new edition to learn! I'll see you in the fall, when I'll start teasing the story and announcing sign ups for the second Crusade.
